AVRC’s plug-in hybrid vehicle solution for the Toyota Prius uses A123′s advanced lithium ion battery Hymotion technology, which provides unprecedented power, safety and life. The Hymotion conversion increases the electric capability of the Prius by supplementing the vehicle’s factory battery. The module’s greater stored energy capacity allows the converted PHEV Prius to use electric drive more often and for longer distance.
