AVRC

Danville, VA – On February 25th, the City of Danville and Pittsylvania County announced that the Advanced Vehicle Research Center (AVRC) will expand to the Cyber Park near the Danville Regional Airport to perform research on off-road and alternative fuel vehicles. Read more about it in this press release- AVRC expansion to Virginia, or in this article, or see what Congressman Goode had to say about the Advanced Vehicle Research Center here.

Focused on next generation research and development, the Advanced Vehicle Research Center is a private for-profit corporation that matches the talents of multi-national automotive companies with those of North Carolina’s leading universities.

The mission of the Advanced Vehicle Research Center is to provide a modern automotive testing facility for use in the design, development, testing and certification of advanced vehicle technologies, sub-systems and components. The facility will provide a safe, secure, and private environment that will help companies reduce the time and cost of product development.
